Sustainability is at the tip of everyone’s tongue in the maritime industry at the moment, particularly with the International Maritime Organization’s new Net-Zero Framework, unveiled at MEPC 83. This is why it was great to see our client Alex Caizergues, founder and CEO of climate tech specialist Syroco, featured in the Container Management magazine, where he discusses the increasingly vital role that tech will play in helping the industry achieve decarbonisation targets.

In this piece, Alex also discusses the journey of Syroco, from its conception after recognising a gap in the market in terms of harnessing the full power of data, to its adaptation in an age of more stringent regulations. Today, solutions like Syroco are shifting the playing field once again, helping industry players lower their emission levels by reducing fuel consumed as well as optimising operations – as Alex says, “It’s a win, win, win.”
